The second book in the Shady Hollow series, in which some long-buried secrets come to light, throwing suspicion on a beloved local denizen. It's autumn in Shady Hollow, and residents are looking forward to harvest feasts. But then a rabbit discovers a grisly crop: the bones of a moose. Soon, the owner of Joe's Mug is dragged out of the coffeeshop and questioned by the police about the night his wife walked out of his life—and Shady Hollow—forever. It seems like an open-and-shut case, but dogged reporter Vera Vixen doesn't believe gentle Joe is a killer. She'll do anything to prove his innocence ... even if it means digging into secrets her neighbors would rather leave buried. A VINTAGE CRIME/BLACK LIZARD ORIGINAL.

This is the fourth volume in Colin Clay's autobiographical series which tells of the seven years the Clay family enjoyed living in the town of Capreol, a railway community just a short distance from Sudbury, Ontario. Colin had served pastorally and academically in Sudbury when the family arrived from England, but when there came a vacancy at St Alban's parish in Capreol the Archbishop of Algoma appointed Colin as its rector with Colin continuing at Laurentian University but soon adding a position as the Civilian Officiating Clergyman at the Canadian Forces Station at Falconbridge. Capreol provided many opportunties for Colin, Barbara and their four children and Colin was happy with his varied responsibilities. The Clay family continued to enjoy exciting holiday travels across North America along with renewed visits with families in the United Kingdom. Colin was active with Army Cadets as was Barbara with Girl Guides. When the family left for Saskatoon in 1977 Philip and Gill had begun studies at university and college and Alan and Susan were ready for high school. The next volume entitled "It's A Dry Cold" will continue with the Clay's adventures on the Canadian prairies.

The critically acclaimed author of Alien: The Cold Forge takes readers to a rogue colony where terror lurks in the tunnels of an abandoned Weyland-Yutani complex. “Shy” Hunt and the tech team from McAllen Integrations thought it was an easy job—set up environmental systems for the brand new Hasanova Data Solutions colony, built on the abandoned ruins of a complex known as “Charybdis.” There are just two problems: the colony belongs to the Iranian state, so diplomacy is strained at best, and the complex is located above a series of hidden caves. Charybdis has a darker history than any could imagine, and its depths harbor deadly secrets. Until their ship can be refueled, the McAllen team is trapped there. The deeper they dig, the more Shy is convinced there's no one they can believe. When a bizarre ship lands on a nearby island, one of the workers is attacked by a taloned creature, and trust evaporates between the Iranians and Americans. The McAllen integrations crew are imprisoned, accused as spies, but manage to send out a distress signal... to the Colonial Marines.
