The WITH Study (Women's Input into a Trauma-informed Systems Model of Care in Health Settings) was commissioned to investigate how to promote and embed a trauma-informed systems model of care, responsive to women and practitioners, into the complex system of mental health and sexual violence services. There are 3 components; this paper reports on the second component, which involved 2 parts. Part A explored women's experiences, with interviews with women who had experienced mental health problems and sexual violence. It examined the factors that increase the likelihood that women who experience sexual violence develop later mental health problems, or that women with mental health problems experience sexual violence, and their pathways to safety and care. Part B draws on these findings and workshops with practitioners and management to identify what factors influence the design and implementation of an integrated systems model of care for such women.
