This is not a novel. The WARDEN FORCE series is a collection of short stories, all true adventures of the finest protectors of wildlife in the world. Game wardens, or conservation officers as they're known in some states, have been the subject of an explosion of interest during the past few years. The WARDEN FORCE series is a collection of short stories, all true adventures of the finest protectors of wildlife in the world. TV reality shows such as JOE PICKETT (Paramount+), WILD JUSTICE (National Geographic), NORTH WOODS LAW (Animal Planet), LONE STAR LAW (Animal Planet) have introduced the public to this dangerous and little known profession, and left them hungry for more. Award winning author Terry Hodges was himself a California State Fish and Game warden and supervisor/leader of game wardens for over 30 intense years. He writes with the authority possible only by those who have actually lived the life, who have actually packed a badge and a gun on behalf of wildlife and battled all manner of wildlife-destroying outlaws. Season seven contains episodes 76 - 87: Skin-Head Fred: Wardens tangle with a murderous, meth-cooking, game-killing, Neo Nazi. Spreaders: Wardens target a highly intelligent, super-wary commercial lobster pirate. Deadly Intent: An alert warden stays alive and saves a life. The Poor Eyesight Of Love: The arrest of a man and wife poaching team reminds wardens that love can indeed be blind. Ruthless: Crossbow-wielding, night-hunting outlaws face sly wardens who never give up. Ghost Of The Feather: Salmon poachers on the Feather River mix it up with an old pro warden. Abalone Boy: An abalone-poaching commercial sea urchin diver earns his way into state prison. Anything But Cheap: A tough young warden targets ruthless, bear-killing houndsmen. Knock-And-Talks: A highly experienced, slick-talking warden outsmarts goose and deer poachers. Woody Peckerwood: A dumb crook story in which the dumb crook steals the wrong man’s boots. Kegger: Wardens break up a midnight keg party, and a gutsy college student becomes an instant legend. The Troubling Case Of Walter Sumpter: A highly troubled teenager commits a terrifying crime with ominous implications.

Ten years ago, Kate Braestrup and her husband Drew were enjoying the life they shared together. They had four young children, and Drew, a Maine state trooper, would soon begin training to become a minister as well. Then early one morning Drew left for work and everything changed. On the very roads that he protected every day, an oncoming driver lost control, and Kate lost her husband. Stunned and grieving, Kate decided to continue her husband's dream and became a minister herself. And in that capacity she found a most unusual mission: serving as the minister on search and rescue missions in the Maine woods, giving comfort to people whose loved ones are missing, and to the wardens who sometimes have to deal with awful outcomes. Whether she is with the parents of a 6-year-old girl who had wandered into the woods, with wardens as they search for a snowmobile rider trapped under the ice, or assisting a man whose sister left an infant seat and a suicide note in her car by the side of the road, Braestrup provides solace, understanding, and spiritual guidance when it's needed most. Here if You Need Me is the story of Kate Braestrup's remarkable journey from grief to faith to happiness. It is dramatic, funny, deeply moving, and simply unforgettable, an uplifting account about finding God through helping others, and the tale of the small miracles that occur every day when life and love are restored.

Airpower is not widely understood. Even though it has come to play an increasingly important role in both peace and war, the basic concepts that define and govern airpower remain obscure to many people, even to professional military officers. This fact is largely due to fundamental differences of opinion as to whether or not the aircraft has altered the strategies of war or merely its tactics. If the former, then one can see airpower as a revolutionary leap along the continuum of war; but if the latter, then airpower is simply another weapon that joins the arsenal along with the rifle, machine gun, tank, submarine, and radio. This book implicitly assumes that airpower has brought about a revolution in war. It has altered virtually all aspects of war: how it is fought, by whom, against whom, and with what weapons. Flowing from those factors have been changes in training, organization, administration, command and control, and doctrine. War has been fundamentally transformed by the advent of the airplane.
