The Student Workbook sample for professors is available by clicking here. Please note that if you choose to adopt this Student Workbook for your class and we receive a bookstore order for this title, we will send you a complimentary copy of the entire workbook and teacher's manual for your use. This carefully designed workbook helps students master legal citation through a series of exercises coordinated with Understanding and Mastering The Bluebook. Starting at beginner level, the workbook introduces students to basic citation forms, then builds on this foundation through a step-by-step series of targeted exercises that both reinforce the basics and introduce new rules. Each exercise presents a caption from an authority and all the necessary information to prepare a full or short form citation. The workbook concentrates on the citations used most in the classroom and in practice. Workbook exercises are grouped to correspond with chapters in Understanding and Mastering The Bluebook, with one or more sets of exercises of ten questions each. The more complex citation forms, such as cases and statutes, are divided into multiple ten-question sets, each targeting a specific subset of rules. A review exercise is provided for cases and statutes which can be used as additional practice or as a quiz. The workbook is planned to give students the practice they need to master citation, while easing the burden on teachers to create exercises and provide detailed feedback. Space is provided in the workbook for students to write the citations, with the pages perforated for easy tear out. A Teacher's Manual provides background and introductory material, teaching tips, and most important, detailed answers and explanations for all workbook exercises.

Developments over the last twenty years have fueled considerable speculation about the future of the book and of reading itself. This book begins with a gloss over the history of electronic books, including the social and technical forces that have shaped their development. The focus then shifts to reading and how we interact with what we read: basic issues such as legibility, annotation, and navigation are examined as aspects of reading that ebooks inherit from their print legacy. Because reading is fundamentally communicative, I also take a closer look at the sociality of reading: how we read in a group and how we share what we read. Studies of reading and ebook use are integrated throughout the book, but Chapter 5 "goes meta" to explore how a researcher might go about designing his or her own reading-related studies. No book about ebooks is complete without an explicit discussion of content preparation, i.e., how the electronic book is written. Hence, Chapter 6 delves into the underlying representation of ebooks and efforts to create and apply markup standards to them. This chapter also examines how print genres have made the journey to digital and how some emerging digital genres might be realized as ebooks. Finally, Chapter 7 discusses some beyond-the-book functionality: how can ebook platforms be transformed into portable personal libraries? In the end, my hope is that by the time the reader reaches the end of this book, he or she will feel equipped to perform the next set of studies, write the next set of articles, invent new ebook functionality, or simply engage in a heated argument with the stranger in seat 17C about the future of reading. Are you an RTL or system designer that is currently using, moving, or planning to move to an HLS design environment? Finally, a comprehensive guide for designing hardware using C++ is here. Michael Fingeroff's High-Level Synthesis Blue Book presents the most effective C++ synthesis coding style for achieving high quality RTL. Master a totally new design methodology for coding increasingly complex designs! This book provides a step-by-step approach to using C++ as a hardware design language, including an introduction to the basics of HLS using concepts familiar to RTL designers. Each chapter provides easy-to-understand C++ examples, along with hardware and timing diagrams where appropriate. The book progresses from simple concepts such as sequential logic design to more complicated topics such as memory architecture and hierarchical sub-system design. Later chapters bring together many of the earlier HLS design concepts through their application in simplified design examples. These examples illustrate the fundamental principles behind C++ hardware design, which will translate to much larger designs. Although this book focuses primarily on C and C++ to present the basics of C++ synthesis, all of the concepts are equally applicable to SystemC when describing the core algorithmic part of a design. On completion of this book, readers should be well on their way to becoming experts in high-level synthesis.
