I have grown up in a Bible based denominational church all my life. As a kid I did not find Christianity attractive just like many young person, but could not help noticing the enjoyment of others bewitched by the pomp ceremonial splendour. With golden altars, religious painting with the Christ picture crucified at all to see. In contrast to our society the imposing impressive procession was a behold that evoked man's love of pride and splendour. The procession of ministers followed by the performance of rituals, tagged along the congregation seemingly was one impressive entry that had all the holiness embodied, from the onlooker. It is a gorgeous display that charms everyone's eye. It all looked like the music, splendour, procession and even the preaching to a soul sick audience like myself took precedence of all. Change of heart never occurred to me. In all of these, my reason and conscious was silenced, star stuck by its splendour. Did I did not know that this was the beginning of the longest and dreadful war to take inside of me. My troubled soul that did not have a sound argument of its prevalence was only to be thwarted by conforming to the world. The pressure of merging culture of any kind with a man inner Spirit, had caused troubled soul of grand proportion. The more the conformity to the world, the extreme the troubled soul and greater the fear. It was just too overwhelming to leave with such discomfort. It was like I had murdered someone, maybe I did, my inner Spirit.

Heartlight is the story of Bradley's greatest champion of good, Colin MacLaren, as he carries the banner of Light through the second half of the twentieth century. Ghostbuster, exorcist, student and teacher of the mystic arts, Colin meets Claire Moffat, who becomes his dearest friend, when he rescues her from a cult bent on human sacrifice. The leader of that cult, Toller Hasloch, becomes one of Colin's greatest enemies. Working behind the scenes for the next thirty years, Hasloch subtly manipulates politics and the economy to turn America away from the Light. Colin, busy saving lives and teaching the next generation of psychic warriors, realizes almost too late how Hasloch has warped America's promise. Now, Colin MacLaren is the only one who can face Hasloch and the hellhounds the younger man has unleashed. He must fight on, while the fate of America, and perhaps all mankind, hangs in the balance. “We never thought our lives would turn out this way but who really knows such things?” During the Leider’s seven-year marriage they brought three beautiful babies into the world. They marveled at their good fortune and, like most parents, had dreams of what their children would aspire to and accomplish in life. In a moment, all that changed when their idyllic world collapsed around them. Deena and Jeff received the worst news any parent could ever imagine. The world they once embraced and adored was instantly over. The words “life expectancy” rang in their ears and reverberated with the steady tic-tock-of the clock—their personal time bomb. That’s when the battle against time began for them and they vowed to save their cherished family. In the quest to fight for their children’s lives, they decided that they will not rest until their voices and unique story was heard from the halls of Capital Hill to state and local government. These incredible parents turned a devastating situation into an altruistic crusade. They were determined to live for their little boys and to try their hardest to grieve later. This story is not wrapped with a silver lining but anything worth changing and fighting for never is. The Leider’s represent all the unsung heroes who travel a harrowing road with fortitude, extraordinary courage, humility, and endless hope. As you read about this exceptional and remarkable family, you will be deeply moved and greatly inspired by their perseverance and infinite parental love. At story’s end, you will be profoundly motivated to accompany them on their continuing journey of strength and optimism.

Love and Serve is composed of 377 devotions to give daily guidance in our servant ministry to reflect God's love to all around us. There are 366 devotions for every day of the year, plus eleven additional devotions for the Church year celebrations that move around the calendar because they are controlled by the changing date of Easter each year. That makes this devotional book useable year after year. By ecclesiastical rules, Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring. There are thirty-five possible dates for Easter, from March 22 to April 25. The devotions for Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Pentecost can be plugged in each year on the specific date that applies for that year. Love and Serve is really a group of 377 mini-sermons to help us turn God's Word into daily action. Each devotion is headed by words from the Bible, and the devotion answers the question, "What does this mean for us in the twenty-first century?" And each devotion ends with a short prayer that is intended to help us put our words into action. This love (agape) is the kind of unconditional love that God has for each of us and the way God wants us to love each other. Agape, when done as God intended, is a verb, an action word. God calls on us to be his ambassadors here on earth. We are to represent God to our neighbors. Love and Serve, used daily, can greatly assist in this endeavor. We are called upon to love God and neighbor and to do God's work with our hands. We are called to love and serve.
