Farnum died at his home in Georgiaville, R. I., Dec. 13, 1901, after a short illness. He was born in Georgia ville in 1853, entered the Bernon Mfg. Co. Mill when a boy, afterwards becoming its bookkeeper and later its superintendent. He was an active member of the Free Will Baptist Church and one of the leading laymen of that denomination in the state. He left a widow and six children.
