"In this book, the Dzogchen teaching is presented through one of its most ancient texts, the tantra Kunjed Gyalpo, or "The All-creating King" - a personification of the primordial state of enlightenment. This tantra is the fundamental scripture of the Semde, or "Nature of Mind," tradition of Dzogchen and is the most authoritative source for understanding the Dzogchen view."--BOOK JACKET.

Dzogchen, or the "Great Perfection," is considered by many to be the apex of Tibetan Buddhism, and Longchen Rabjam is the most celebrated of all the saints of this remarkable tradition. Natural Perfection presents the radical precepts of Dzogchen, pointing the way to absolute liberation from conceptual fetters and leading the practitioner to a state of pure, natural integration into one's true being. Transcending the Tibetan context or even the confines of Buddhist tradition, Longchen Rabjam delivers a manual full of practical wisdom. Natural Perfection is a shining example of why people have continued to turn to the traditions of Tibet for spiritual and personal transformation and realization. Keith Dowman's illuminating translation of this remarkable work of wisdom provides clear accessibility to the profound path of Dzogchen in the here-and-now.

Invisible Truth The Supreme Source of Infinite ManifestationChristina Wollebek-Smithwith Marty Smith 267 pages. Prologue* The world of science and the world of religion (faith) are not exclusive; they're symbiotic. The only difference is the interpretation of what miracles are.* Science has proof positive that all of the universe is made up of energy, including the human race, and all animals for that matter. The various faiths of the world concur.* Energy cannot be created nor can it be eliminated. Its direction, however, can be changed.* The Nine Laws and Principles of Invisible Truth explain how to direct energy in a way that creates (manifests) abundance in our lives through directed, organized energy.* These laws and principles show exactly how to use directed energy in our lives to manifest what we desire.* Throughout the book we show how the world of science and the world of faith are congruent in these Nine Laws and Principles.* The importance of this message is in the use of the Nine Laws and Principles. If you wish to go directly to causing immediate change in your life, start with Part Two of Invisible Truth. The remainder is the reasoning behind our stance. This is a 4 part book. Part 1: In the Beginning. What is Invisible Truth. Manifestation. Aether. Part 2: The Bucket. Living in the Now. Thought. Words. Belief. Work. Thankfulness. Forgiveness. Giving and Receiving. Environment. Putting it Altogether. The Last Words. Part 3: Our Stance. Cosmic Consciousness. Unveiling the Neural Mysteries. Your Extended Environment. Part 4: About the Author. Afterthought. This book explores the ability of our self to change the neural pathways through which our reactions to exterior stimuli travel, thereby changing our perceptions...thus allowing us the ability to control the direction of our lives. There is about five years of research behind this work. We spell out how to actually change brain patterns in a natural way. This is beyond Rhonda Byrne's book, '"The Secret," on steroids. This is "A Course on Miracles" in a way that is not only coherent, but applicable. This book explains the religion of science, and the science of religion.

The Rose and the Lotus is a compendium of explorations of two of the world's largest wisdom traditions, Sufism and Buddhism, and what the practitioners of these two approaches have in common and may have to learn from each other. It includes chapters on important teaching texts, ancient and modern and the clues they give for practice, interviews with esteemed teachers such as Shaikh Kabir Helminski, Roshi Bernie Glassman, Tibetan philosopher Geshe Sonam Rinchen, as well as memories and reflections on teachers such as Javad Nurbakhsh, Idries Shah, and Inayat Khan. It includes a new look at the mystic works of Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing and their usefulness in contemplation practice. Yousef Daoud PhD, also published as Joe Martin, has been a practitioner of both Sufism and Buddhism. The author of eight books, he teaches meditation as well as spiritual performance practice. Though Sufism and Buddhism have long been treated as religious manifestations, in this fascinating book, Yousef Daoud (Joe) Martin places them squarely among the great wisdom traditions and explores a wide variety of topics relating to both Sufism and Buddhism. One of the most prolific authors for the journal "SUFI", he has done a real service for anyone concerned with spirituality and gnosis. -- Professor Jeffrey Rothschild, C.U.N.Y., Editor, SUFI On Rumi's MATHNAVI: A Stage Adaptation "Absolutely remarkable and memorable! It felt as if the actors analyzed Rumi's stories, lifting the veils one after another." --- Lida Saeedian, Author and co- translator of The Pocket Rumi On Parabola: Shorter Fictions "...through the tightly structured geometry of this metaphorically rich [work is] recognition of the search we undertake to fix a place for ourselves ... and try to make sense of a confusing, alienating and often combative world." Two basic assumptions have shaped understanding of recent Iranian history. One is that Shi'ism is an integral part of Iran's religious and cultural landscape. The other is that the ulama (religious scholars) have always played a crucial role. This book challenges these assumptions and constructs a new synthesis of the history of state and religion in Iran from 1796 to the present while challenging existing theories of large-scale political transformation. Arguing that the 1979 revolution has not ended, Behrooz Moazami relates political and religious transformations in Iran to the larger instability of the Middle East region and concludes that turmoil will continue until a new regional configuration evolves.
