Thirty years ago we couldn't have imagined such a platform, and now it radically changed our lives. The web is part of our everyday lives, and thereby it developed a global internet culture. Memes, funny videos and pictures, haven't been studied too much, even if a big portion of internet users watch them every day. This book, which is set in a near future, is an illustrated book with two characters that go through the history and functionality of memes, by also showing how the immense amount of data that the internet offers has also negative sides. That's achieved through hypothesizing an extinction of qualitative memes caused by too many of them being created, which lead to an overall staleness. For the first time in human history we have access to an immense amount of information, and we are not prepared yet to manage it. We are starting to realize that such an open platform can create new sorts of problems that we have never seen before. We already witnessed the impact of too much information with fake news during the 2016 US presidential election. This isn't just virtual, it is a problem that is affecting all of us right now.
