When anti-Semitic violence has rocked the Jewish community, it's common to turn inward. Our heroes who give us hope shine a light through dark times. Throughout history, Jewish leaders have shown our community and humanity what it means to rise to the occasion. But do you know the stories of non-Jewish luminaries that uplift our community while inspiring their own? In Paths of the Righteous, discover eight individuals who have gone above and beyond for Israel and the Jewish people during a difficult and turbulent period. Largely unheralded and not in the headlines, their stories can inspire us. They each demonstrate unique attributes. No matter how hidden it may seem during an uncertain journey and challenging times, collectively they teach us what it means to pursue a righteous path in the twenty-first century.

The Path of The Righteous by Mordecai Paldiel recounts the inspiring stories of several hundred "Righteous Among the Nations" - heroic gentile men and women, in virtually all the countries of Nazi-occupied Europe, who put themselves and their families at risk in order to save the lives of Jews fleeing the Nazi terror. Drawn from the files of Yad Vashem Memorial in Israel, these stories are a badly needed corrective to the pessimistic view of human nature which has become all too common in the Holocaust's aftermath. They prove that decency, morality, and altruism can survive even under the most horrendous of circumstances, and that some people will always be willing to act selflessly. It also serves to disprove the cruel lie being promulgated by some that the Holocaust never took place, or did not take place as described in eye witness accounts. The courageous individuals whose tales are recounted in this book are monuments to the nobility of the human spirit. They did what they did not for the sake of reward or prestige, but because they believed it was right. Some of them were pious Christians motivated by religion. Others were energized by feelings of intense compassion. Neither the threat of punishment nor ostracism by relatives and neighbors deterred them. Love for their fellow human beings was a higher value. The book contains a foreword by Rabbi Harold Schulweis, founding chairman of the Jewish Foundation for Christian Rescuers/ADL, and an afterword by Abraham H. Foxman, National Director of the Anti-Defamation League and a Holocaust survivor who was saved by his Polish nursemaid, poignantly express their recognition of and gratitude to the untold numbers of righteous gentiles, many of whom will never be known by us.

This rift is known as the Worldwound, and through it, the demon horde has infested an entire region. While the demon armies have been held in check by barbarians and crusaders alike, the region within that was once Sarkoris is now ruled by fiends. Worse, the Worldwound itself is slowly growing -- if something isn't done to halt this blight, it and the demons it spawns may one day swallow all of Golarion! This Pathfinder sourcebook explores the demon-blighted land of the Worldwound (site of the new Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path) in great detail. Ruined cities (such as the shattered capital city of Iz, the frozen city of Dyinglight, and the river city of Undarin), key historical sites (like the Circle of the Hierophants -- birthplace of the druidic sect known as the Green Faith), and more are presented, along with an exhaustive examination of the strange and otherworldly hazards of the region. The book also includes several adventure sites ready for exploration, along with a few locations like the holdout town of Gundrun, which can serve heroes as (relatively) safe harbor in a deadly land. Finally, an extensive bestiary presents more than a dozen new monsters and demons and enemy NPCs along with two new monster templates, ensuring your PCs will never lack for foes in this devastated realm.

The heroes have reclaimed the city of Drezen and the lost sacred banner known as the Sword of Valor, and in doing so have established a significant foothold behind enemy lines. With the demon armies still concentrating their attacks to the south, the heroes must now set off into the heart of the Worldwound to seek out powerful new allies and strike a mortal blow against the Templars of the Ivory Labyrinth! Demon's Heresy is a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventure for 9th-level characters who have gained three mythic tiers. The adventure utilizes rules from Mythic Adventures to portray a campaign of truly epic potential. An exploration of the eerie powers of the beings known as the worms that walk and an examination of the druidic beliefs of the Green Faith round out this volume. A bestiary of several monsters (including the third of six demon lords that will be presented during the campaign!) and part three of Robin D. Laws's new Pathfinder Journal also await discovery in this new installment of Pathfinder Adventure Path.

The Righteous rely on God and the Psalms teach us how... It is through the opening of the Psalms that we discover foundational truth for right living. It is as children of God that we can learn to delight ourselves in our Father. The highly regarded writer, Dale Ralph Davis, leads readers through a careful study of Psalms 1-12 with clear, helpful application for daily life. The Psalmist begins with the most essential truth for mankind. Davis explains: "Nothing is so crucial as your belonging to the congregation of the righteous". It is in the Word of God, Davis points out, that "the righteous man gets signals for living". The delight of the righteous is in the "law" the teachings of the Lord. Indeed for those who belong to Him, meditating on God's Word is "the pursuit of pleasure", with the Psalms a rich resources for such as pursuit. As the first twelve Psalms continue, we see basic principles unfold with great clarity. Much like our troubles today, the Psalmist endured wickedness a around, a world hostile to the true God and on a very personal level-deceit and persecution from his enemies. Readers are pointed toward the glorious rule of the Messiah, to whom world belongs. In light of this realization, we are prepared to face all kinds of troubles that otherwise would cause despair. The righteous rely on God, and the Psalms teach us how. Davis, a noted Old Testament scholar, provides poignant insight to the original language of the text, guiding readers to deeper levels of understanding. Verse-by-verse exposition crystallizes the Psalmist's message, and cross-references show the passages in brother biblical context. Illustrations from history and from the author's personal experience help paint the truth in living color, demonstrating the relevancy of the text across cultures and throughout time. This is an ideal resource for small groups, as a teaching guide and for personal study. Begin the Psalms with Dale Ralph Davis. Book jacket.
