Feuerbach’s departure from the traditional philosophy of Hegel opened the door for generations of radical philosophical thought. The movement, founded in the 1880s, was dominated by Russian-speaking intellectuals, including Abraham Cahan, Mikhail Zametkin, and Chaim Zhitlovsky.
