In using the ancient creeds and seeking to understand them we need not be thought unbrotherly or divisive the Church has a common and precious inheritance. I am glad to adopt the words of the Unitarian, Dr E. H. Sears. In his book The Heart of Christ, he says: Those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as the supreme authority and guide, and enter more into his all-revealing mind, are making progress toward the harmonizing truths which he represents. However wide apart they may be at the start their progress is ever on converging lines.
