Midwest mine explosion, in which six lives were lost, bringing the total of lives lost to 66, or per thousand men employed, a slight decrease compared with 74 lives lost, or per thousand employed in 1922. The non-fatal accidents numbered or per thousand employed, and is a decrease of 45 injured, or per thousand em ployed, than in the preceding year.
