«The Tales of the Fish Patrol» is a collection of stories by Jack London which was published for the first time in 1905. The actions of the stories occur in San Francisco Bay, the main plot is based on the activity of the local fish patrol. Young John Griffith Chaney, future Jack London, had a boat and was "an oyster pirate" (he poached oysters) until the boat failed to function. Later John joined the Californian Fish patrol, and the experience he had received there became the material not only for this collection of stories, but also for the other "sea" plots.
