This book discusses digital audio watermarking copyright assurance. The author first outlines the topic of watermarking data that can be used for copyright assurance that incorporates text messages, copyright audio, handwritten text, logo and cell phone numbers. The objective of this book is to propose a new algorithm that can embed and extract the watermarking information. The execution of the newly proposed algorithm is surveyed by testing data utilizing a group of various audio file types and against various attacks. The book also presents a new digital watermark algorithm that preserves the copyright property of the audio files. To do this, the author uses two techniques -- DWT and SVD -- with the combination of other techniques (DFT and DSSS) to enhance security and also provide high robustness and imperceptibility against various malicious attacks. Implements an audio watermarking algorithm that gives high robustness against various malicious attacks; Provides a solution for preventing and tackling attacks for all types of audio data; Includes a secured algorithm that can be used in defense systems for transmitting hidden messages in audio signal.

This book offers comprehensive coverage on the most important aspects of audio watermarking, from classic techniques to the latest advances, from commonly investigated topics to emerging research subdomains, and from the research and development achievements to date, to current limitations, challenges, and future directions. It also addresses key topics such as reversible audio watermarking, audio watermarking with encryption, and imperceptibility control methods. The book sets itself apart from the existing literature in three main ways. Firstly, it not only reviews classical categories of audio watermarking techniques, but also provides detailed descriptions, analysis and experimental results of the latest work in each category. Secondly, it highlights the emerging research topic of reversible audio watermarking, including recent research trends, unique features, and the potentials of this subdomain. Lastly, the joint consideration of audio watermarking and encryption is also reviewed. With the help of this concept, more secure audio watermarking systems can be developed, which meet the requirements for security and privacy in cloud-based networks and systems. Accordingly, the book serves as a tutorial suitable for readers with a general knowledge of audio signal processing as well as experts in related areas, helping these readers understand the basic principles and the latest advances, concepts and applications of audio watermarking.

IFIP/SEC2000, being part of the 16th IFIP World Computer Congress (WCC2000), is being held in Beijing, China from August 21 to 25, 2000. SEC2000 is the annual conference of TCll (Information Security) of the International Federation of Information Processing. The conference focuses on the seamless integration of information security services as an integral part of the Global Information Infrastructure in the new millenniUm. SEC2000 is sponsored by the China Computer Federation (CCF), IFIP/TCll, and Engineering Research Centre for Information Security Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ERCIST, CAS). There were 180 papers submitted for inclusion, 50 papers among them have been accepted as long papers and included in this proceeding, 81 papers have been accepted as short papers and published in another proceeding. All papers presented in this conference were reviewed blindly by a minimum of two international reviewers. The authors' affiliations of the 180 submissions and the accepted 131 papers range over 26 and 25 countries or regions, respectively. We would like to appreciate all who have submitted papers to IFIP/SEC2000, and the authors of accepted papers for their on-time preparation of camera-ready fmal versions. Without their contribution there would be no conference. We wish to express our gratitude to all program committee members and other reviewers for their hard work in reviewing the papers in a short time and for contributing to the conference in different ways. We would like to thank Rein Venter for his time and expertise in compiling the fmal version of the proceedings.

This book introduces audio watermarking methods for copyright protection, which has drawn extensive attention for securing digital data from unauthorized copying. The book is divided into two parts. First, an audio watermarking method in discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and discrete cosine transform (DCT) domains using singular value decomposition (SVD) and quantization is introduced. This method is robust against various attacks and provides good imperceptible watermarked sounds. Then, an audio watermarking method in fast Fourier transform (FFT) domain using SVD and Cartesian-polar transformation (CPT) is presented. This method has high imperceptibility and high data payload and it provides good robustness against various attacks. These techniques allow media owners to protect copyright and to show authenticity and ownership of their material in a variety of applications. · Features new methods of audio watermarking for copyright protection and ownership protection · Outlines techniques that provide superior performance in terms of imperceptibility, robustness, and data payload · Includes applications such as data authentication, data indexing, broadcast monitoring, fingerprinting, etc.
