Excerpt from Sixty-Ninth Report of the Board of Trustees of the American Printing House for the Blind, Louisville, Kentucky, to the Congress of the United States, the General Assembly of Kentucky and the Governors of the States of the Union: For the Year Ending June 30, 1937 For the benefit of those who are interested in the literary welfare of the blind, the Board of Trustees of the American Printing House for the Blind submits herewith its Sixty-ninth Report for the period from July 1, 1936 to June 30, 1937. It is with deep regret that we record elsewhere in this Report memorials to two of our Trustees, Professor Reuben Post Halleck and Mr. Harry Dumesnil, both of whom passed away during the year under report. It is with pleasure, however, that we announce the appointment to membership on the Board of Trustees of Mr. Charles W. Allen, Ir., and Mr. George W. Norton, Ir to fill the vacancies created by the loss of our two beloved fellow-trustees. In the preparation of the Sixty - eighth Report there was a decided departure from precedent. Pictures, illustrations and' items of general interest were included in addition to the reports of officers and committees and the statistical information which customarily accompanies an institutional report. It was hoped that such a report would prove of interest to the layman as well as to those engaged professionally in work for the blind. The reception of the Sixty-eighth Report was so encouraging that we again submit a report prepared according to the same general plan.
