The mechanical drawing proved more of a success this past year than ever before, as the boys brought their drawings down to the manual training room and built the object from their own drawings. The grade teachers proved their ability to handle the subject, as we knew they could and would. This makes the upstairs work and the manual training work closely connected and each is enriched thereby. At the evening school there are forty pupils enrolled and many large pieces of furniture are under construction. The instructor and pupils at the close of school in une planed and sanded the bench tops to a true surface and refinished the benches and lockers. Consequently the room presents an attractive appearance. In the words of our good and efficient janitor, Mr. Bernier, "I never saw the room when it looked any better." Respectfully, EVERETT M. Having had supervision of the work in these schools but four months, I feel I ought to express my gratitude for the cordial manner in which I have been received by the superintendent, principals, and teachers. I am sure that no one could enter upon work in a new position under more favorable conditions than have been mine during the past few months. It has been my chief desire to find out just what is best to offer along practical educational lines.
