I've decided to get serious about a new book venture. It took me a while to get the right motivation. I wasn't sure if I should concentrate on politics, writing, or religion which is my latest and most important passion. I have decided on the title of this book You Can Get Here From There. Don't ask me how I thought that would be OK. Now I understand why it took something to get me jump started. That came to me early in the morning as I was praying in my bed. I was seeking guidance for my future so that I could best serve God and my country. As I thought I was about to sleep a word came to my attention with a note that this is the key. I responded that I wasn't sure of the meaning but was assured I did. I got up and went to my study to look this new key up in my college dictionary. It wasn't there so I googled it and there it was with a definition. That was just as I'd thought. With this word I came up with a new title but was convinced I shouldn't put it on the cover so it's the heading for the first chapter. I'll reveal the word in the first chapter and spend the rest of the book in explanation.

Ladies and Gentlemen by Dr. Gina Loudon and Dr. Dathan Paterno is a modern manifesto on the virtues and the lost notion of the ideal woman and the ideal man. It sounds the clarion call for our nation and culture to reclaim a system of honor and renew the terms lady and gentleman, which have been debased and adulterated by radical feminism, atheism, and a hostile liberal agenda.

The book provides a comprehensive understanding of the unfolding geopolitical changes in the South Caucasus in the age of increased great power competition across Eurasia. Recent research on the geopolitics of the South Caucasus focuses either on interstate relations among Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia or on each of regional actor’s (Russia, Turkey and Iran) ties with the region’s one or all three states. Little attempt has been made to see the region’s shifting geopolitical importance from a global perspective: growing US-China rivalry and shifting balance of power in Eurasia; recalibration of the US’ military and diplomatic vision in western Eurasia to adjust to the Chinese challenge. The book argues, from a theoretical point of view, that the increased competition in the region fits into the global pattern of unfolding great power competition, when military and economic calculations drive regional powers to increase their influence on immediate neighborhoods sidelining the collective West from the negotiating table and the emerging new security architecture.

This book is an original and sophisticated historical interpretation of contemporary French political culture. Until now, there have been few attempts to understand the political consequences of the profound geopolitical, intellectual and economic changes that France has undergone since the 1970s. However, Emile Chabal's detailed study shows how passionate debates over citizenship, immigration, colonial memory, the reform of the state and the historiography of modern France have galvanised the French elite and created new spaces for discussion and disagreement. Many of these debates have coalesced around two political languages - republicanism and liberalism - both of which structure the historical imagination and the symbolic vocabulary of French political actors. The tension between these two political languages has become the central battleground of contemporary French politics. It is around these two poles that politicians, intellectuals and members of France's vast civil society have tried to negotiate the formidable challenges of ideological uncertainty and a renewed sense of global insecurity.

This analysis of US policy towards Indonesian nationalism concludes that Truman's support for independence was based on his Cold War priorities and not principled backing for self-determination. It reveals how Eisenhower's New Look led to a disastrous CIA-backed intervention in 1957-58 and propelled Indonesia towards the Soviet bloc. Exposing the extent of Australian influence on US policy, this account reveals how the personal prejudices of Eisenhower and John Foster Dulles undermined the notion of rational policymaking.
