Excerpt from Proceedings of the School Committee of the City of Boston, 1931 The meeting for organization of The School Committee of the City of Boston for the current municipal year was held in the Administra tion Building, 15 Beacon Street, at o'clock P. M. Present: Messrs. Gray, Hurley, Lyons, Mrs. Pigeon and Mr. Reilly. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Francis C. Gray, 'the senior member. Mr. Gray stated that under the provisions of Chapter 479 of the Acts of 1924 - An Act Providing for Biennial Elections in the City of Boston, etc - the membership of the School Committee for the year 1931 is the same as that for the year 1930; namely, Mr. Joseph J. Hurley, Dr. Joseph V. Lyons, Mrs. Elizabeth W. Pigeon, Mr. William Arthur Reilly and Mr. Francis C. Gray.
