The regular series of monthly meetings has been well sustained throughout the year, and the simple announcement of subjects interesting to the lovers of history for discussion, has been sufficient to fill the rooms of the Society on each occasion. The Committee see much to commend in these meetings, hitherto so agreeable and instructive, which afford to members and their guests the opportunity of meeting on an interesting ground of investigation, valuable in its social as well as in its literary and historical aspect. His report is looked for with much interest, and will un doubtedly furnish many valuable additions to our present stock of historical authorities.
