This open access book is the first book that attempts to treat the notion of articulation as an important concept to be added to the lexicon of communication studies and social science. It constitutes the first comprehensive and systematic discussion of ‘articulation’ in English, providing an introduction of its usages and what has occurred on its ‘travels’ from one theoretical realm to another in political philosophy, structural linguistics, new economic anthropology, cultural studies and post-Marxist discourse theory. The proposed research takes a relational approach to society and social action in a way that recognises their relative autonomy. It entails an introduction of the ‘discursive turn’ in the imagery of society and social change, thereby proving that the relational concept of articulation/Gliederung has potential to consider society as both a structured, complex whole and a product of human interaction.

The answer is always wrong, but only so long as the width of your scope stretches further than the moment it is conceived. This is why we search for meaning - or at least the closest version to it. This is the intellectual embodiment of prototyping the mind. Exploring how I came to a conclusion, where I drew my inferences and where my article is affected. These bare only important factors to the thought which sometimes acts as an inextricable essence of the self - so to contradict what one might ordinarily think - and so it in this moment that the ability to think was not an active occurrence, or a decision. This inactivity - which is none so - and more an activity that occurs without a known ability to control is where my journey stemmed - in the coarse hands of an ideation; worthlessness. The apathy I pertained through my family-ties, friendships, and colleagues at the weakness of my own inability to realize my strength. This is the battle I won - not against a united front, nor the Spanish armada, nor the Arab Spring, Normandy, or pearl harbour. I fought every day, and in this way, was the torment and continual effectiveness more enduring than all those battles combined. At its core - an idea exists to prove or disprove worthlessness - this is the birth of negative thoughts which aim to distract your attentions from the strength to be you - which resides somewhere within the existence of self. This sense of obstruct I possessed for quarter a century - from birth to my first day a survivor through the eternal wilt of the mind. I did therapy. I completed my course. I learned. I grew. I realized that I believed I was beyond worthlessness - and I did not need it anymore to act as the crutch to in-growth. And so, once the belief in yourself becomes strong enough - the aptitude to overcome becomes the strength needed to be. This is where I reside now in the accepted belief of my own virtuousness - and I really believe it.S. R. Gurney
