This book is about your future!'s all found in the last message of Jesus Christ to the church: the book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible. There is a three-fold blessing found in the first chapter of Revelation, verse 3, for those who read, hear, and keep the words of this book. Revelation Made Plain tells you what is going to happen in the final days of earth. It describes the exact judgments that will fall upon the earth. Is it scary? Absolutely! But there's an out—an escape: accept Christ and what he did for you on the cross. And as the apostle John was caught up to heaven to view the last judgments, so you too will be caught up like John before the great judgments begin in the sixth chapter of Revelation. Psalm 90, verses 1 and 8 tells us where we'l be and how we'll view the judgments. God bless you

From the Introduction by Merrill C. Tenney: This commentary is an attempt to make plain the meaning of Revelation. With commendable reserve, Dr. Smith has restricted himself largely to interpretation by other passages of Scripture which are related to Revelation by actual quotation or by striking parallelism. His painstaking studies of vocabulary and of related ideas make the book valuable to the earnest student of the Bible. Dr. Smith is a futurist and a premillenarian, holding that all of the Book of Revelation beginning with the fourth chapter relates to the future period of judgment known as 'the great tribulation,' which will be followed by the personal return of Christ and by the establishment of His kingdom. In this regard he is in a long line of renowned commentators, including Seiss, Gaebelein, Ottman, and others. The distinguishing feature of this commentary is its use of Biblical statistics and comparisons. The uses of important terms in the Revelation are cataloged, and their interpretation is derived from their context. The appendices contain some extensive studies of individual topics, correlating information not easily obtainable elsewhere. Dr. Smith follows a literal interpretation except where avowed symbolism demands a different procedure. He has sought to make his exposition consistent in method and in results. His use of Greek is apt, and shows a careful investigation of the underlying vocabulary of the Greek text. This commentary will probably be the mainstay of premillennial exposition for some years to come.

The book introduces Christians to the book of Revelation through a study of one of its key themes: victory. Running counter to Revelations prevailing interpretation, it proposes that Christians, represented by the audience in the Seven Churches, have been in tribulation since the first century and that Revelation was written to help Christians be victorious over the challenges of life. Each chapter opens with an account of martyrdom. The final account tells the story of the three believers in Malatya, Turkey, who were brutally killed in 2007. The book is dedicated to the three. The volume also features a new translation of Revelation by the author, a scholar who has worked on Revelation for over two decades and who lives in the land of the Seven ChurchesTurkey.
