Excerpt from More Recent Cyanide Practice The success which attended the publication of 'Recent Cyanide Practice, ' edited by Mr. T. A. Rickard, and printed in 1907, together with repeated calls for a volume covering in the same manner still later developments in cyanidation, has led to the compilation of this book. In it the development of cyanidation from October 1907 to July 1910 is reflected in articles contributed originally to the Mining and Scientific Press. The individual articles cover a wide range and illustrate the development both of theory and practice in the period covered. They have come from all parts of the world and the contributors include the leaders in the application of cyanide to metallurgy. No attempt has been made to harmonize conflicting views, and as little change as possible has been made in the original wording of the authors. The necessary limit to the size of the volume has precluded reprinting of many other worthy and interesting papers, for which readers must refer to the files of the Mining and Scientific Press.
