I am sure that everyone present will feel that the dignity of the Society is upheld by having on the roll of its Presidents the name of a man who has been so intimately connected, as Sir Charles Bright has been, with the practical application of our science from its infancy; and also that everyone here must feel that we owe him great gratitude for the able way in which he has performed the duties of the Presidential chair during the past year.
