For Southern Hemisphere countries the Split year indicates crops harvested in the latter half of 1960 and the first half of 1961. Data for livestock products are generally on a calendar year basis. Postwar price weights were used in computing the indices. Available data on prices in these countries, including fad price weights, were used in establishing weights.
