Regulations are current to 2022-12-12, and last amended on 2022-11-16 Date modified by the Justice Laws Website: 2023-01-03 Check currency here: https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Detailed table of contents. Easy to use, and easy to find. Properly indented headings. Custom headers on each page. English-only version. Print paper size 7*10 inches. Ideal for students and practitioners ---------------------------------------------------------------------- There are numerous Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) books on the market, however, none have a detailed table of contents and easy-to-follow format. Therefore, I created this book to include up to five levels of headings in the table of contents to make searching for the laws easier. Moreover, I properly indented the headings in the entire book (up to six levels) and also provided a level 1 heading on each page, so the readers are not lost while reading. Moreover, this is an English-only version, last but not least, the print version of the book is created on an easy-to-use size of 7*10-inch paper which makes it compact and easy to carry. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I use this format on a daily basis in my immigration firm and I find it practical and useful. "The United States Code is the official codification of the general and permanent laws of the United States of America. The Code was first published in 1926, and a new edition of the code has been published every six years since 1934. The 2012 edition of the Code incorporates laws enacted through the One Hundred Twelfth Congress, Second Session, the last of which was signed by the President on January 15, 2013. It does not include laws of the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress, First Session, enacted between January 2, 2013, the date it convened, and January 15, 2013. By statutory authority this edition may be cited "U.S.C. 2012 ed." As adopted in 1926, the Code established prima facie the general and permanent laws of the United States. The underlying statutes reprinted in the Code remained in effect and controlled over the Code in case of any discrepancy. In 1947, Congress began enacting individual titles of the Code into positive law. When a title is enacted into positive law, the underlying statutes are repealed and the title then becomes legal evidence of the law. Currently, 26 of the 51 titles in the Code have been so enacted. These are identified in the table of titles near the beginning of each volume. The Law Revision Counsel of the House of Representatives continues to prepare legislation pursuant to 2 U.S.C. 285b to enact the remainder of the Code, on a title-by-title basis, into positive law. The 2012 edition of the Code was prepared and published under the supervision of Ralph V. Seep, Law Revision Counsel. Grateful acknowledgment is made of the contributions by all who helped in this work, particularly the staffs of the Office of the Law Revision Counsel and the Government Printing Office"--Preface.

This report presents the Committee's study of the proposed regulations to implement Bill C-11, the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act. Part 1 discusses issues related to the new selection system for skilled workers: the retroactive nature of the proposed selection system, the adequacy of the point system used to evaluate potential immigrants, and the recognition of foreign credentials. Part 2 covers issues relating to the family: family-class sponsorship undertakings, financial & other matters relating to sponsorships, definitions of terms used, and the Family Business Job Offer Program. Part 3 discusses issues relating to refugees: permanent resident status, refugee resettlement from overseas, and the pre-removal risk assessment. The remaining parts cover such issues as inadmissability, the application process, regulation of immigration consultants, and the implementation date of the Act. Recommendations for improving the regulations are made throughout and summarized at the end. Minority & dissenting opinions are appended.
