So we can see the writer of the Gospel of Mark bearing witness of Jesus forcefully, testifying that He is God Himself and our Savior. That's why I would like to bear witness of this Jesus Christ manifested in the Gospel of Mark as much as possible, based on the gospel of the water and the Spirit. What is obvious is that the core Truth of Christianity is found in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). Where, then, is the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit revealed? This Truth of salvation is revealed in detail in the ministry of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist, the substance of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit exerts a tremendous influence on other people's souls. The faith of this gospel enables every believer to come before the holy God, come under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Such faith allows us to attain "spiritual priesthood." We must preach that Jesus Christ is our Savior according to the revelation of the gospel of the water and the Spirit and our faith. So, we do not want the gospel of the water and the Spirit to remain exclusively ours. This gospel of the water and the Spirit is the gospel that should be shared with everyone all over the world. The author of The Measurement of Righteousness uses secular educational measurement and evaluation methods to illustrate the measurability of the spiritual state of man’s life through the performance of physical lifestyles and activities. The book scores and evaluates man’s activities in different perspectives: • Through physical activities of good and bad deeds • Through spiritual (faith-based practices) that determine their respective destinations, either Heaven (a place of bliss) or Hell (a place of torment), as illustrated on the front cover It also examines categories of men, their characteristics, and background types by inclination of godliness or devilishness. Man is viewed as being weighed on God’s word in relation to his obedience, believing that all about man’s sufferings in this world emanates from his disobedience to God’s word. Its consequent effect caused man the loss of his “paradise” known as the Garden of Eden. The book concludes by enjoining man “the wicked” to repent and be righteous. It also calls on believers to examine themselves and retrace their steps to be on the high side in righteousness on God’s scale to obtain eternal life in God’s kingdom on the day of judgment, after rapture of the “church” (believers or saints).

In late 1995, the drama Heaven Above (Cangtian zaishang) debuted on Chinese TV. Featuring a villainous high-ranking government official, it was the first in a series of wildly popular corruption dramas that riveted the nation. In Staging Corruption, Ruoyun Bai looks at the rise, fall, and reincarnation of these dramas and the ways in which they express the collective dreams and nightmares of China in the market-reform era. She also considers how these dramas – as products of the interplay between television stations, production companies, media regulation, and political censorship – unveil complicated relationships between power, media, and society. Her book will be essential reading for those following China's ongoing struggles with the highly volatile issue of political and social nepotism.

As China's centrally planned economy and welfare state have given way to a more loosely controlled version of "late socialism," public concern about economic reform's downside has found expression in epic novels about official corruption and its effects. While the media shied away from dealing with these issues, novelists stepped in to fill the void. "Anti-corruption fiction" exploded onto the marketplace and into public consciousness, spawning popular films and television series until a clampdown after 2002 that ended China's first substantial realist fiction since the 1989 Beijing massacre. With frankness and imagination seldom allowed journalists, novelists have depicted the death of China's rust-belt industries, the gap between rich and poor, "social unrest"—i.e., riots—and the questionable new practices of entrenched communist party rulers. Corruption and Realism examines this rebirth of the Chinese political novel and its media adaptations, explaining how the works reflect contemporary Chinese life and how they embody Chinese traditions of social criticism, literary realism, and contemplation of taboo subjects. This is the first book to investigate such novels and includes excerpts from personal interviews with China's three most famous anticorruption novelists.
