C. Taylor, Agricultural Attache at London. Apple crops are reported to be lighter than in 1936 in England, Belgium, France, Italy, Denmark, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary, but larger in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Jugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Rumania. Best prospects in Germany are in the Bodensee area adjacent to Lake Constance but wind and hail damage is still a threat in this section.
