Excerpt from Foreign Crops and Markets, Vol. 11: September 14, 1925 The value of imports of agricultural products into the United States for the year ending June 30, 1925 was as compared with in the preceding year. Corresponding figures for agricultural exports published on August 31, 1925 were for the year ending June 30, 1925 and for the preceding year. The items showing the greatest increases in value in 1924-25 over 1923-24 are rubber, coffee and wool. All three of these commodities have had a higher unit value in the past year than in the year before and in the case of coffee there was a decrease of lbs. In imports with an increase of in value. The only commodity showing a large absolute decrease in value was sugar. For this commodity the unit value was lower, so that ime ports increased short tons while decreasing in value.
