Chronically late seedings extending far beyond the Optimum period with consequent detrimental effect on yields, weeds which became a veritable scourge during the early years of collectivization and have been causing much difficulty ever since, delayed and inefficient harvest ing, and grain left lying in the fields unbound for a considerable length of time were some of the aspects of poor farming criticized time and again in the Soviet press and speeches of c?ficials during the early thirties. Naturally, yields of most crops in 1931 and 1932 were very low. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
