Excerpt from First Biennial Report of the Railroad Commissioner of the State of Wisconsin: Embracing the Period Ending June 30, 1884 In compliance with chapter 320, laws of 1883, I submit herewith the first biennial report of this department, cover ing the years ending June 3oth, 1883, and June 3oth, 1884. The former plan of printing the reports of companies in full has been abandoned in order to bring the published report within the limits of two hundred pages prescribed by the law of 1883 above referred to. To compensate for this loss tabulations have been made Of all items Of importance and these will be found under their proper heads. Companies report annually to the commissioner, as heretofore. Davidson, Governor of Wisconsin Suez - In accordance with Section 1795 of the Revised Stat utes of Iisconsin, I submit. Herewith the twelfth biennial report of this department, from December lst, 1904, to June l6th, 1905, at which time Section 17 95 was repealed by transferring the power of this section to an appointive Railroad Commission, under the provision of Chapter 362, Laws of 1905. The only statistical matter contained in this report relates to the taxes paid by the several roads due February, 1905. Other statis tical reports were not required to be made by the railroad com panies until June 30th, 1905, at which time Chapter 362 was in force and, consequently, are to be reported by the State Board of Railroad Commissioners.
