I left out all the pain and depth that each experience had given to me, and I made sure to keep it light and airy. So, it was no surprise when my first draft lacked authenticity, and ended up being shallow, nauseating and cliché. I need to dig deeper and accept that part of my experience was dark. I realized that what may seem dark in visible light is bright in other places. We just need to adjust our perspective.
