Instructional computer technology has been integrated in most schools in South East Asiatoday. Training in technology is provided to the staff through professional developmentalopportunities in technology. The School’s art departments are funded with visualteaching aids such as prints of famous works, slides, videos, books, to name a few.Visits to the art museums or galleries are possible in countries which boast of fine artgalleries but a rare happening in south East Asian countries. However the logistics andodds against the planning of museum tours in south East Asian countries are heavy. Withthis aspect in view, art teachers were encouraged to use technology and take students onvirtual museum tours throughout the world. This research thesis provided each participantwith a list of virtual museum tour websites. The teachers reported their use of technologyin art curriculum using the researcher’s survey. A good percentage of teachers foundvirtual museum tours to be effective while a few took some time to start using thetechnology to enhance their art program.
