As the sixth volume of the Jossey-Bass Guides to Online Teaching and Learning series, Conquering the Content provides a highly-practical blue-print for course development and content presentation for web-based courses. While providing guidance for incorporating learning theory into online courses, this book primarily furnishes online instructors with the practical templates, learning guides, and sample files to construct and manage their course content. Unlike other books about online instruction that cover theories of teaching and learning, instructional design, or even graphic design this book gives the "how to" of preparing an online course by focusing on content. The much needed step-by-step guidance in this book will result in fully formed courses where high-quality content is the central feature.

Why do we know what great teaching looks like, yet we cannot define it? That is where Conquering the Seven "C's" comes in. I have educated over 4,000 people, from Fortune 500 directors, to IT management, to community college students, to low-income middle-school students. I have deeply connected with all of them. I have earned multiple awards in Education, completed my Ph.D. in Instructional Management and Leadership, and taught people all over the world. Over my years, I have found that everything that I have learned and executed comes down to seven major attributes. Ironically, they all start with C. When you notice amazing educators, you will notice they possess all seven of these traits, regardless of whether they have been in the profession twenty years or twenty weeks. This book is the map toward shaping the next wave of educators, regardless of style, audience, or modality! The question is: Are you ready to embark on your voyage?

Unique in its genre and content, the War Scroll (1QM) presents a vision of an impending eschatological war. Although originally interpreted as being the product of a single author from the Qumran Sect, the composition's inconsistencies quickly led to the view that it is in fact an eclectic document with an elaborate compositional history. Yet all such theories were formulated prior to the publication of War Scroll-like texts from Caves 4 and 11. A careful re-examination of the War Scroll suggests instead that what began as a primitive and cohesive composition from the Hellenistic period about a two-stage conquest of the world was eventually updated in order to fit the new historical realities faced by the sectarians under Roman rule.

Conquering RAS: From Biology to Cancer Therapy provides introductory knowledge on how modern RAS biology is taking shape in light of newer technological development. Each chapter is written in a manner that emphasizes simplicity and readability for both new investigators and established researchers. While RAS biology has been intensively studied for more than three decades, we are yet to see any effective therapeutics that could interfere in the signaling cascade regulated by this master oncogene. The book covers topics ranging from basic RAS biology, to translational biology and drug discovery applications. These topics will be appealing to basic researchers working in labs who seek deeper understanding of the modern concepts in RAS research. On the other side, the oncologist at the patient’s bedside will find the book useful as they routinely face the daunting task of treating patients that predominantly have a disease driven by oncogenic KRAS. Brings together wide ranging topics in RAS basic and translational biology for the scientific and clinical communities Showcases recent advancements in RAS research under one comprehensive volume Includes video clips, color illustrations, and important website links to facilitate a clear understanding of RAS in cancer research
