Men After God's Heart is an in-depth examination of how Christian men relate to each other. Now more than ever, it is imperative for men to develop healthy, meaningful relationships with their spiritual brothers. The Western masculinity persona has prevented men from experiencing healthy male bonding, creating a distorted perception of masculinity. But Jesus sets the example for how Christian men can and should display brotherly love. Birthed out of a men's seminar he taught entitled "10 Principles of Brotherly Love," Hayes explores Jesus's final moments with His disciples in the upper room, which he calls the Disciples' Ship. In John chapters 13 through 17, Jesus teaches and illustrates ten principles of love that they were to continue in their relationship with each other. Men After God's Heart will help you audit the male relationships in your life and challenge you to go beyond your personal convenience to brotherly commitment. This resource aims to build disciples who live in relationship, grow in fellowship, and engage in stewardship. It is a must-have resource for personal devotion, men's groups, and seminary's spiritual integration labs (SILs).

Filled with explosive action, sizzling romance, and police drama, Brotherly Love will entrance readers with the memorable love triangle of two brothers and one woman, and keeps the reader asking—will one man’s dedication to his work cost him his family? Mason McKenzie, an undercover police detective, is so dedicated to his job and protecting the citizens of Atlanta that he has practically abandoned his family. Unbeknownst to him, his wife, Cherise, and younger brother, Vincent, have ignited a passionate love affair. Overcome with guilt, the pair ends the relationship even though they still possess an undeniable attraction to one another. Years later, as Mason decides he's ready for a career change that would give him more time to spend with his family, he's asked to participate in a huge drug case. He concludes that one last job won't hurt, and it might allow him to leave at the top of his game. Besides, Mason realizes that if things get too tough and he has to be away for too long, he can always count on his brother to step in and take care of his family while he's undercover. What Mason doesn't realize is that putting Vincent and Cherise back together again could be as dangerous as his assignment—and tear his family apart once and for all. Darrien Lee takes readers on a roller coaster of emotions as lives, a marriage, and family ties are at stake. Brotherly Love is a book that readers will contemplate long after turning the last page.

Dr. Michael Allen and Gilbert D. Allen come from extreme poverty. Their parents battled drug addiction. Their siblings were homeless and displaced at various points during their childhood. Gilbert is five years younger than Michael-and the youngest. Gilbert was living between multiple places when Michael went to college. Michael had just finished football practice and a team dinner when he received a call from his brother Gilbert in the fall. Gilbert said there was a void he was feeling. It was a hard conversation for Michael; his brother was sobbing. Michael's college football team was having a magical championship season winning but his baby brother was hurting.Ultimately Michael consoled his brother, connected to his brother. Still, it got worse. Michael decided to go get his brother and take him with him to college. Gilbert finished high school while Michael was in college. Gilbert was reading at the fourth-grade level as a sophomore in high school. They had to navigate his readiness (in the northwestern part of Indiana at a majority white school). There was segregation within the community. Very few people thought Gilbert would finish high school-now he has his master's degree in social work and is working on a doctorate in counseling, community care, and trauma. Gilbert works as a social work supervisor; Michael has a doctorate in educational leadership and is an elementary school principal. This book is about bonds-especially their bond as brothers, and the importance of mentors, related or not. This book is a glimpse into the collective political correctness eroding genuine connections. It also is much about love, fond dreams, and what it means to give back to marginalized people. Their goals are to encourage people to believe and hope. They give insight, perspective, and share their journey within these pages. "It would be disrespectful to the journey if we don't give back," Michael said. "We have lessons to give back to humanity." The voices of Gilbert and Michael make it clear society is ill-equipped. It's a beautiful struggle. Diversity is good. They hope you'll read this-and participate by reaching out to someone.

I wrote this book so that every man and woman, whether a believer or a nonbeliever, might come to the accurate knowledge of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. About one thousand years, after the death of Moses, the Scribes and the Pharisees verbally fought Jesus Christ because of the Law of Moses. They wanted him to be killed, never realizing that Jesus Christ came to die and be resurrected that the world might know for sure that resurrection is not fiction, but fact. In this book you will surely come to the knowledge of why you are not required to commit a tenth of your income to God according to the Law of Moses, and you will definitely learn the differences between the Ten Commandments and the Law of Moses. You will also learn how to give and how to help one another based on the true word of God through Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. I will accomplish this in this book by showing you in Scriptures how the true Gospel of Jesus Christ must be preached. My brothers and sisters, this book is not about me; who am I? It's not about you; who are you? It's not about the pulpit and the people in the pews; what are they? "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God " (Romans 3:23). All in the context of the above line of Scripture means everyone from Adam until the return of our savior, Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. This book in its entirety is the beginning of what Jesus Christ meant in John 16:12 when he said the following to the Disciples: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now."
