This book is a chronology of my 31 years as a trooper with the Michigan State Police. It contains a blow by blow rendition of continued police commander misuse and abuse of power. This book is a chronology of commander misconduct and persecution which continued for the totality of my career. You will read about how I made them pay for their transgressions. This vengeful and hateful behavior by the police commanders is intertwined with some of the most bizarre events and circumstances you could imagine. This book will take you inside the cop shop. It will take you behind the scenes and you will become enlightened to some of the strangest happenings that could ever occur there. You will also meet some of the most interesting characters within the police community. This book will give you a better understanding of why sometimes crimes go unsolved or why sometimes it takes forever for a criminal to be brought to justice. In reading this book, you will sometimes wonder how there would ever be any time left for crime investigation with all else that is going on within the department. It will give an understanding of what type of person becomes a police officer. The book is serious, sad and comical all wrapped up in one package. You will walk and sometimes run along side me through my career while I describe in detail the battles I encountered.

An evil force arises twice every hundred years. A young man has his destiny forced upon him to fight this evil power. Brey is the last of the Turjim, the human warrior the fights by the good wizard's side, Halloc. Halloc is loyal to the king, but a higher purpose controls his thoughts. Halloc must take young boy and turn him into a man in less than three days. He needs the help of more humans. The life of Brey unfolds. It almost crumbles when his father is murdered. It reaches new heights when he meets a pretty servant girl at the royal castle. Questions fill his mind, but with each new answer comes another thousand questions. Who murdered his father? How did his mother die? What secret does his best friends, Stik and Prat, hide from everyone? What curse does the royal family hide? How can a young boy become a man in three days? The wizard gives Brey the Lightstone, the one talisman that can vanquish the evil wizard forever. It can conquer any wizard. Five humans and a wizard set out on their quest. The journey is full of surprises. There is truth within lies, and deceit amid sincerity, love fed by hate, and serpent's venom within a dove's tear. Their lives will never be the same, if they live at all. Among them is a wizard killer.

The kinetic theory of gases as we know it dates to the paper of Boltzmann in 1872. The justification and context of this equation has been clarified over the past half century to the extent that it comprises one of the most complete examples of many-body analyses exhibiting the contraction from a microscopic to a mesoscopic description. The primary result is that the Boltzmann equation applies to dilute gases with short ranged interatomic forces, on space and time scales large compared to the corresponding atomic scales. Otherwise, there is no a priori limitation on the state of the system. This means it should be applicable even to systems driven very far from its eqUilibrium state. However, in spite of the physical simplicity of the Boltzmann equation, its mathematical complexity has masked its content except for states near eqUilibrium. While the latter are very important and the Boltzmann equation has been a resounding success in this case, the full potential of the Boltzmann equation to describe more general nonequilibrium states remains unfulfilled. An important exception was a study by Ikenberry and Truesdell in 1956 for a gas of Maxwell molecules undergoing shear flow. They provided a formally exact solution to the moment hierarchy that is valid for arbitrarily large shear rates. It was the first example of a fundamental description of rheology far from eqUilibrium, albeit for an unrealistic system. With rare exceptions, significant progress on nonequilibrium states was made only 20-30 years later.
