I wish to direct attention to some of the figures which are especially significant Increase in the School Fund - North Carolina had, for 1905-06, an available fund of for her public schools, besides a considerable sum con tributed by individuals to lengthen the rural school term, to build better rural school-houses, and to secure better equipment for those houses. The total increase in the school fund for 1906 over the year 1905 was of which sum was increase in rural school fund and was increase in city school fund.
