William Baskin Sr. emigrated from Ireland to Chester County, Pennsylvania about 1732, and moved to Paxton, Pennsylvania about 1737. He moved to Orange (later Augusta) County, Virginia in 1740. John Baskin emigrated from Ireland to Chester County, Pennsylvania during or before 1735/1736, and later moved to Orange (later Augusta) County, Virginia, where he probably died about 1740. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Ohio, New York and elsewhere.
