Over 300 stories of children and critters here on Whitebriar Farms could not be contained in one book, but is a "book set". There is no rhyme or reason to the "numbering", so don't think I missed anything, but even with mismatched numbers on chapters, realize they are in chronical order, as the experience came along. God has blessed me many times with a wonderful family and the ability to show people thru words, the wonderful life that can be had on a farm with animals and children. - Carole Lokan Moore, aka, The Farmer's Daughter

The object of this book is intra-urban mobility, namely the diverse forms of mobility occuring within a city: from residential mobility to daily mobility, the latter understood both as commuting and as urban travel for leisure. The specific aim of the volume is to explore mobility in the city at different times, from the XVIIth century to today, and to relate it to the respective social dynamics from different standpoints, moving back and forth from the building to the neighbourhood and the wider metropolis, from Tunis to Paris, from Naples to Barcelone, passing through Rome, Milan and Marseille. The approach adopted is strongly multidisciplinary. The authors come from different disciplines - from History to Demography, from Sociology to Geography -, which has allowed to decline the study of intra-urban mobility both through a look at individuals and their mobility practices and from a territorial and historical context. In so doing, a set of urban issues has been considered, such as social mobility, metropolization processes, migrations and inequalities, access to real estate market.

Moving to this small town might just be a huge mistake. City girl Emma Johnson moves to Kurrajong Crossing determined to escape her troubled past and forge a bright future filled with new friendships, experiences, and even a pet cow. When the town starts a bet to see which of the many eligible bachelors around town will take her out first, she plays along. They’ll figure out soon enough that she isn’t interested in romance or relationships. Not now, not ever. Country vet and cattleman Gabe Jameson knows the gossip surrounding pretty newcomer Emma will taper off eventually. In the meantime, he’s willing to lend a hand and help with emergency repairs to her rickety old house. It’s not as if it’s a date, or that he wants it to turn into something more. Pretty women are trouble, and Emma is stunning. Besides, he’s sworn off love forever. It seems they might have something in common after all… First published as Breathless
