Excerpt from Eighth Annual Report of the State Architect for the Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 1906 The tabulation also shows the percentage of the total cost of the office as compared with the total of the contracts made in each year to be very uniformly per cent. This percentage includes all the expenses of the Engineering Department, inspection and all traveling expenses which, in private practice, are ordinarily paid for separately by the owner. Table No. 2 shows the percentage of architect's expenses proper to have averaged about per cent. And of traveling, inspection, and engineering expenses to be about per cent.
