Migration is one of the aspects of human existence that is keen to the designing of policies and programmes of development of any given country. The main aim of the study is to examine the causes of in-migration in the Wenchi municipality, the socio-economic conditions of migrants, the benefits and side effects of migration in Wenchi and to bring out suggestions and recommendation on the management of migration in the municipality. In order to attain a reliable research, both the qualitative and the quantitative research methods are employed. The qualitative method is used to survey the entire municipality to determine the possible causes of migration and migrants’ livelihood. The quantitative method is used to collect in-depth information about the problems at hand. The data is from both primary and secondary sources. The primary source entails self-administered questionnaires, while the secondary source is from articles, publications and projects in relation to the research topic. The study reveals that most migrants come to Wenchi for educational purposes. It also brings out that most migrants have good access to some basic facilities such as access to portable drinking water and a good access to electricity. In order to ensure that natives get access to good work doing, the stake holders of the town should try to introduce some youth empowerment programmes in the town so as to bridge the gap between natives and migrants.

The data was collected from 140 reproductive age women's and girls' using a self-administered survey in Khaptad Channa rural municipality-05 Thakuri community Bajhang. The data was collected by using an observation checklist. Descriptive statistics of the quantitative survey was presented. Chhaupadi system is traditional practice in which women and girls are forbidden to touch anything and have to live in cowshed during menstruation. It is a widespread practice prevalent in Far West and some parts of Mid-West region of Nepal. In Far West it is prevalent mainly in Achham, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Baitadi, Dadheldhura, Darchula, Kanchanpur, and Kailali. Chhaupadi is a cultural and religious practice which has roots in the manifestation of the core concept of 'purity' (suddha, Chokho), versus 'pollution' (asuddha, Jutho) which is very prominent in Hindu religion and culture. According to custom, women shouldn't lean milk or ghee while they're menstruating, but should only eat flatbread with salt. This deprives them of nutritious food during their periods. the ladies must survive on a diet of dry foods, salt, and rice. They can't use warm blankets and are allowed only a tiny low rug. they're barred from consuming milk, yogurt, butter, meat, and other nutritious foods. they're also restricted from visiting school or performing their daily functions like taking a shower, forced to remain within the barbaric conditions of the shed. A total of 50 Filipino immigrant adolescents in Singapore had been selected as participants. There were two variables measured; the cultural adjustment stages and cross-cultural adjustment aspects. Using a descriptive research design, the researchers formulated 2 sets of 5-point Likert scale questionnaires. One consists of items on the four cultural adjustment stages; honeymoon stage, culture shock, gradual adjustment and feeling at home. The second questionnaire consists of items on the three aspects of cross-cultural adjustment; general environment, adjustment to school and interaction adjustment. The data were analyzed using mean per item to determine which cultural adjustment stage and cross-cultural aspect of adjustment the participants were experiencing. The researchers found that there was no definite cultural stage that the participants were mostly identified. They also found that among the categories of the general environment, the way of life had the lowest level of adjustment while adjustment to school and interaction adjustment had a high level of adjustment. Based on the results of the study, key factors to ease the adaptability, such as the favorability of the physical and social environment were recommended to those who are planning to migrate.

Climate change is one of the major challenges of modern times.
