"Allie the Alligator loves her apples and almost all things starting with the letter "A." From airplanes to avocados, and astronauts to accordions. See where Allie goes and what she does with her awesome apples in this children's book, where it can help young children recognize the letter "A" in their everyday lives and build their early reading skills." Author's Note to Parents, Guardians, Caregivers, Teachers, etc... Hello! First, I would like to thank you for your interest in this book. Even though this book is about Allie the Alligator and her apples, the main focus is on the letter "a". I wanted to put in as many words starting with "a" (that are fit for children of the preschool age range) into this book as I could. So that it can help children be able to recognize the appearance and sound of the letter "a" in words and sentences as well as help develop their independent reading skills. My goal as an author is to help children in their areas of development as much as I can. This book in particular is the first of 26 and each one following will be like this one except it will focus on a different letter of the alphabet. I invite my readers to look around this book and see what other things may start with this letter. For an extra challenge, children can also think of more words starting with "a" that aren't in the book. Once again this is the first of quite a long series with all the letters of the alphabet that are just like this one and I'm so excited to share it with young readers. I hope you and the little ones enjoyed it as much as I did making it. If you like this book, please take a look at the very first book I ever had published and stay tuned for the books coming soon. Thank you again. Sincerely, Gina DeSanctis

The method and plan of this dictionary of Jamaican English are basically the same as those of the Oxford English Dictionary, but oral sources have been extensively tapped in addition to detailed coverage of literature published in or about Jamaica since 1655. It contains information about the Caribbean and its dialects, and about Creole languages and general linguistic processes. Entries give the pronounciation, part-of-speach and usage of labels, spelling variants, etymologies and dated citations, as well as definitions. Systematic indexing indicates the extent to which the lexis is shared with other Caribbean countries.
