This is a true story. A Ringer's Hands is an account of the year I spent working on an outback cattle station in the middle of the Northern Territory. I left Sydney as a City Boy with a ute, a swag, a red dog and a craving for adventure, I came back a real Australian ringer.

Learn Handbells from scratch or become a better Ringer.

This is the completely revised 2023 "Handbell Ringers Bible". I listened to all your comments and have made this even more comprehensive and easier to learn from.

A set of handbells creates ONE musical instrument. They are always ‘in tune’ and most ringers play only two bells plus their accidental, making it one of the easiest musical instruments to learn and a lot of fun to play. Having said that, to play any instrument well, you need to study and practice.

You don’t need to be a musician to begin to play bells but you will be a musician once you have mastered the instrument and its techniques. If you can count to four and know your left from your right, you have the necessary qualifications. You don’t need a deep understanding of music theory. I have selected the parts of music that you do need, making it as simple as possible.

It is all too common for new handbell ringers to be thrown in at the deep end with just a short explanation of how to ring the bell, and off they go playing in an existing handbell choir. I have created this Method Book, full explanation of all the terms and techniques, training videos as well as handbell music notation to make learning handbells more structured and informative.

Next stop on the party's quest to defeat the Demon Lord: Yutith's Tomb, home to undead monsters. It's a great place to level up a bunch of novices, but there's just one problem -- the hero is terrified of the undead! On the bright side, the party may have finally found a priest to join their quest. She's an apprentice and can't cast any spells, but that's still better than nothing, right? In the meantime, the party's previous priest, Ares, trails behind them, providing support in secret -- and pulling a few strings -- until they can defeat the Demon Lord once and for all.
