According to the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (IRTPA), National Intelligence and the term 'intelligence related to national security refer to all intelligence, regardless of the source from which it is derived and including information gathered within or outside the U.S., that: Pertains, as determined consistent with any guidance issued by the President, to more than one U.S. Government agency; and That involves: Threats to the U.S., its people, property, or interests; The development, proliferation, or use of weapons of mass destruction; or Any other matter bearing on U.S. national homeland security.
