The 'hierarchy problem', astrophysical data and experiments on neutrinos indicate that new physics can be expected at the now accessible TeV scale. This work investigates extensions of the Standard Model with gravitons and gravitinos (in the context of supergravity). The production of these particles in association with jets is studied as one of the most promising avenues for researching new physics at the LHC. Advanced simulation techniques and tools, such as algorithms allowing the computation of Feynman graphs and helicity amplitudes are first developed and then employed.

The program comprises two parallel lecture series on particle physics and on cosmology. The particle physics lectures covers LHC related experimental techniques, phenomenology, as well as basics in physics beyond the standard model. The cosmology series give a general introduction to modern cosmology with special attention to the topics of dark matter, the microwave background and alternatives to the standard model of cosmology. The lectures are accessible to graduate students at the initial stages of their research careers.

The school focused on topics in theoretical particle physics, phenomenology, dark matter, and cosmology of interest to contemporary researchers in these fields. The lectures are accessible to graduate students in the initial stages of their research careers.
